Harrogate architects taste their own success

As the creative brains behind Greengate at Cardale Park one of the town’s most advanced modern business parks, PCP Architects have announced plans to move their company into new purpose built freehold offices within the development. “It’s not unusual for us to get very excited when we see our plans and creative input coming to fruition. In conjunction with our client Avenir Properties we have we have been able to create a unique office environment at Greengate. Our business has expanded and we needed to move but the problem had been finding a freehold building with the right credentials. As soon as Greengate became a reality we knew we had the chance to get the best of both worlds; a state of the art facility designed by ourselves for our own occupation and in a great location. PCP’s ground-breaking architectural designs have incorporated striking glass atriums, and eco-friendly power supply systems, and by the time the development is complete, will have absorbed more than 220 tonnes of steel on the way to making sure it achieves the right synergy between functionality and style.

 

Their work has been applauded by Harrogate Borough Council officials and local environmentalists, and according to joint letting agents Carter Jonas and DTZ Debenham Tie Lung, occupiers are now lining up for the units.

 

When finished, the 40,000 sqft Greengate development will offer Grade A office accommodation in nine two-story contemporary buildings, and 200 car parking spaces. Units range from 2,000sqft to 9,000sqft. Unlike other similar developments in the town, Greengate units are available for sale.

 

PCP plan to move into their new building by the end of the year, and will enjoy one of Yorkshire’s premier locations – just a mile from the centre of Harrogate. They will be able to count the likes of NatWest, Link, and Wolseley Centres among their Cardale Park neighbours; each of whom has also been lured by the high level of finish for which the park has become known in commercial property circles.
