Harrogate based property developer Avenir Properties and international fashion designer Ben de Lisi have between them created a new designer label for the Yorkshire property market.

Space by Ben de Lisi is a brand that combines Ben’s creative flair and the quality builds house buyers have come to expect from the Avenir team.

This new concept – which sees Ben swapping the catwalk for the sidewalk and creating designer addresses - sets Avenir firmly apart from other developers, whose only association with the fashion guru is to use his branded bathrooms!

This exciting venture for both parties followed hot on the heals of Ben’s success at London Fashion Week, where his trademark glamorous eveningwear wowed visitors and fellow designers.

Avenir’s first collaboration with the British-based designer was at 564 The Place, Alwoodley, Leeds, shortlisted in the 2007 Yorkshire’s Finest Property Awards.

Ben – whose dresses have been worn by the likes of Kate Winslet, Angelica Houston and Emily Watson, for many red carpet events – has played a leading role in the scheme, and was involved from the project’s infancy through to its successful conclusion.

The second is the soon-to-be-completed conversion of the former Littlemoor School in Rawdon, Leeds. This Grade II Listed Building is to be converted into eight town houses with 14 two and three bedroom-apartments being built alongside it.

Again, Ben is again playing a major part in this and has made a number of site visits to check on progress.

And a third Space by Ben De Lisi development is on the cards in the Leeds suburb of Horsforth. Avenir has acquired a former garage site in the heart of this popular area and is looking to convert this current eye-sore into a development of 14 one, two and three bedroomed apartments.
